The Dallas/Austin Texas YMCA utilizes The Ultimate Pitching Machine in their beginner groups (ages 6 - 9 yrs old) with great success. The Ultimate Pitching Machine replaced wheeled pitching machines. Both parents and coaches were impressed by how The Ultimate Pitching Machine's throwing mechanics were so similar to that of an actual pitcher throwing form and different from the standard wheeled-pitching machine where the ball is just thrown toward the hitter. The Ultimate Pitching Machine is going to be such an asset to me and the kids in learning the art of hitting. I cannot imagine a youth baseball coach not wanting one of these machines. Lloyd Freehold, NJ As the head of a middle school girls’ fast pitch softball team, I am always searching for ways to maximize my practice sessions and improving the skill level of my players. For the last two years we have utilized Ultimate Pitching Machine during our practices with outstanding results. This year's team batting average was over .350 and we were very young. I utilize both Ultimate Pitching Machine and Bob Faxon’s hitting approach with great success. Ultimate Pitching Machine allows me to work on specific areas of the game such as bunting or in/outside pitches as well as saves the arms of my pitchers. With the innovative approach in operation for fast pitch, my girls always felt they were receiving a pitch from the pitcher. I have utilized other pitching machines, but Ultimate Pitching Machine is easy to transport, requiring no electricity to operate. It is a big advantage over all other machines we have attempted to utilize at our facility. I sometimes would utilize tennis balls or baseball size pitching machine balls with great success. After a session of hitting the smaller balls, our girls were much better at the plate hitting regular softballs. I strongly recommend the purchase of Ultimate Pitching Machine. If you desire to learn more about hitting, purchase Bob Faxon’s Hitting Video. I guarantee you will learn more about the science of hitting than from any other video available. In the past, I have purchased at least four or five other hitting videos, paying $29 - $39 before I received Mr. Faxon’s video for only $19.95. Mr. Faxon's video teaches you things which will make a huge impact on the swing mechanics of your players. What I liked best was that my girls were consistently hitting line drives and did not resemble most girls' teams we played against. Again, Ultimate Pitching Machineis a great training device and all fast pitch teams should have one. It will make a significant improvement in your practice sessions and the skill level of your players. I purchased Ultimate Pitching Machine in September 1999, and we have had great success working with it. I like the fact it is so versatile to use at home when time is tight or at the ball park. We've seen great results using it during our pre-game warm-up. Players do seem to be more game prepared than the traditional soft toss we have utilized since I was a kid playing little league.
